Apple - What is the future?
Months of speculation have passed with people going crazy over what might have been the iPhone 5. Although not quite what people were looking for, Apple revealed their newest product to the world recently, the iPhone 4S. Though a new phone internally, nothing has changed with the iPhone 4S that would be able to give it that push to call it an iPhone 5.
What exactly has changed? They have upgraded the processor in the phone to a dual core A-5 chip, which makes the phone run twice as fast as the iPhone 4 and the camera has been upgraded to eight megapixels instead of five. Along with upgrading the phone, they have introduced some brand new and exciting elements, including Siri, iCloud and iOS 5.
With Siri, an advanced voice program that allows you to speak to your iPhone 4S as if it was a regular person, you are able to use your voice to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls and more. "iCloud automatically stores your content so it's always available to your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or PC. It gives you access to your music, apps, latest photos and more from whichever device you happen to be using." The iOS 5, Apple's newest update to its mobile operating system, includes more than 200 new features for your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, including the Notification Center, iMessage, Newsstand, Reminders and Wi-Fi sync.
After all of the excitement and news about all of the great features to come, word spread quickly that the former CEO and founder of Apple, Steve Jobs had passed away. Jobs had recently retired and named Tim Cook the successor of the company. It was known that he was ill for a long time. He died at the age of 56 leaving behind an incredible legacy.
On Apple's website it reads, "Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple." With a brand new CEO, brand new products and the loss of the founder of it all, no one is certain what Apple's next move will be.
Steve Jobs: 1955-2011.
