Poet and Yale School of Medicine Neuropathologist, Dr. Laura Manuelidis, who is best known for her theory on the causes of “Mad Cow” disease and the corresponding human disease, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, lectured and read her own poetry in the ABC Art Gallery on March 22,2012 for the University of Bridgeport’s Necessary Voices Lecture Series.

UB Lacrosse team makes history
After debuting as a full time Division II women’s lacrosse program last spring, the Purple Knights who finished last season 0-11 were eager to start the 2012 campaign off right. Last Friday’s opening season road match against Post University saw the team pick up its first ever win with a 16-13 victory.

The University of Bridgeport men's basketball, the third seed, led for most of their game against Molloy College, the six seed, but needed to sweat out a tense final minute as they edged Molloy 64-62 in the East Coast Conference Quarterfinals.
