Lotus Flower

On October 3, 2013
I was the lotus flower that bloomed behind his orchard of lashes.
And he was the breath that kissed back the hands of time
We stood there watching the sun set over our hearts
And No matter how many times we played freeze tag with our lips , the sky light was never really fast enough to catch it
But when it did, It was the sweetest kiss I've ever known....
Our story written in blissful memories
With splashes of hidden sorrow
We crashed and burned
Until We blew up the past to make a better present
It was like two fire rockets making love to the sounds of fear and excitement colliding together
......I still remember the first time we exchanged "I love you's"
I didn't know a smile could be stretched so wide yet be lynched at the intersection of happiness
I was coming off the hinges, and he was loving me with his hands wired shut
He didn't know if he could feel again
And I didn't know If I could be fixed
We just wanted to erase our memory card, and hand each other our heart with a fresh slate so then we wouldn't have to expect the sun to set when the crack of dawn just peeked through our horizons
