I am a former Manhattanite who moved to New Paltz in November 2011 after leaving an editing job at the New York Daily News, where I worked for six years. I write for several top publications, including The New York Times, Conde Nast Traveler magazine and the Daily News, as well as local publications such as Chronogram and Ulster Magazine.
