On December 2nd, The University of Bridgeport’s Greek Council held its “Too Funny” comedy show to benefit the victims of the recent hurricanes. The Greek Council consists of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., Lambda Sigma Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated. All five organizations came together to bring some humor into the lives of the students at UB while raising money to bring hope into the lives of the people who were affected by the hurricanes.
Three comedians Ruperto Vanderpool, Rob Stapleton, and Angelo Lozada came to support the cause by bringing down the house with their jokes. Each comedian gave a performance that left the audience practically in tears from laughing so hard. Their comic routines ranged from jokes about the condition of UB, to the stupid things that people do in everyday life.
UB students donated five dollars each and off campus students donated seven dollars to the cause. All proceeds from the comedy show will go to benefit the hurricane victims. The Greek Council teamed up with the Student Government Association to make a difference. The string of hurricanes affected a lot of people by taking lives, homes, and dreams.
