I've heard that there's a new UBjobnet. What's so new about it?
Career Services is proud to announce that UBjobnet has transitioned to a new system! Over the past year, Career Services has teamed up with a company called CSO Research to bring you a new and improved job database. This new UBjobnet is much easier to navigate and offers students great options to connect with employers, view jobs, and learn about career events.
The new UBjobnet can be accessed faster than ever! Log into the UB portal (MyUB) and take a look at the right side of the screen in the section of Quick Links. Click on UBjobnet and you are in! If you access UBjobnet from the website, you just need your UB login info - same as logging in to the portal.
Since this system is directly connected to the university's computer system there's no need for you to create a new profile; all of your basic information has been uploaded there already! We do advise you to customize your profile by updating your skills with some additional information. Also, upload your approved resume so you can dive right into job searching (and don't forget about our Optimal Resume software!).
It's super important to get yourself settled into the new UBjobnet. Why is that, you ask? Well, employers regularly search for students who match their needs and Career Services refers students to companies seeking new employees. The only way to take advantage of this great referral service is if you upload your resume to the new UBjobnet. So get on it and enjoy!
