Cultures unite at third annual “Island Vibes” event
On November 5, all the Caribbean cultures united as one as the third annual Island Vibes Cultural showcase shed a positive light on the UB community. It brought a togetherness of Caribbean population on campus to set a platform on the different aspects of the West Indian heritage that you don't normally see on an everyday basis. Read more.

Earthquake Rocks Turkey
At least 600 people have died from a 7.2 magnitude earthquake that hit eastern Turkey on October 23rd. It was the most powerful earthquake to hit the country in 10 years. Almost 2,000 buildings and homes were leveled during the quake, leaving at least 4,100 people injured and thousands more that are now homeless and without jobs. Read more.

One area of campus life that UB students may not be fully aware of is the yearly budget that is used by the Student Government Association [SGA] and Student Programming Board [SPB].
