Imagine you are eating in Marina; you bring your laptop with you. You decide that while you are eating you want to go on the Internet.
Finally, Marina Dining Hall is getting high tech. A couple of weeks ago Marina received Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity).
According to Mobile Office Technology website, Wi-Fi is short for wireless fidelity. It refers to a local area network which uses high frequency radio signals to send and receive data over short distances (approx. 200 feet).
Wi-Fi is mostly used to communicate without any cord or cables. Most of the time it is mainly used for radio frequencies and waves.
Hristo Stoychev a sophomore here at UB stated, “this is a good experience for students. Wi-Fi should be all around campus. It is good Marina has Wi-Fi so when people eat they can go on the Internet and check email and other things.
Next time you come to Marina bring your laptops and surf the Internet while you eat. Not only is it a good experience for students but also you can have fun when you eat.
It is good for the entire semester but the best time this will be most useful is during finals week. So when you want to eat, study and/or go on the Internet at the same time come to Marina Dining Hall or Knights End Cafe.
