Dear Student:
Are you an aspiring journalist? If so, the Institute on Political Journalism wants you to spend the summer with us! Complete your application today and be one of hundreds of young journalists to spend a summer in Washington, DC, covering press conferences on Capitol Hill and the White House, sitting in on tapings of the hottest political TV shows, and catching a glimpse of Washington politics and journalism up close! Each summer, IPJ, sponsored by the Fund for American Studies and in partnership with Georgetown University, gives students an unparalleled opportunity to live, learn and intern for 8 weeks in the nation’s capital, while giving students the most unique, hands-on experience in the number one news town, Washington, DC!
While living on campus at Georgetown and earning up to 9 credits in classes, students participate in an internship with a Washington media organization, briefings at places such as The White House and the U.S. Capitol, and a series of dialogues with prominent journalists. TFAS has been educating student leaders for over 20 years and has a network of professionals unlike any other organization. The networking opportunities when you’ll get to meet and question leading journalists and attend exclusive briefings are unmatched.
In addition to being the director of the program, I am also an alum of IPJ and can tell you first-hand that this is a great program for aspiring journalists. Your summer to live, learn and intern will not let you down!
Don’t miss out! Apply by January 15th and receive a 5% discount off of your tuition! And don’t forget, IPJ offers generous scholarships to help cover the costs of tuition and housing and are awarded based on academic excellence, leadership skills and financial need.
