The Car You Can’t Afford (for now)

Whopping 5.0-liter V10 engine at an uneven 4,000 rpm (revolutions per minute) that hits its 8,250 rpm redline in less than 4.5 seconds – that’s faster than mine or any 3.0Ghz laptop typing these words! That’s the all new 2005 BMW M5 – the ultimate driving machine.

What you see above is essentially the 2005 BMW M5. Sure, BMW characterizes this car as a concept that illustrates one path the company is taking with the next muscle-bound 5-Series. How does the 2005 BMW M5 manage to do this? With its seven-speed Sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG) that allows for the car’s rapid acceleration.
As with previous M cars, the 2005 BMW M5 does not scream its capability to passers-by. Slight styling modifications have been made through the use of unique front and rear body kit (fascias, air dams, side sills, side air vents in the front fenders, and quad M-style exhaust outlets). The M5 also receives an exclusive 19-inch alloy wheel design giving rise to its powerful look, and the body sits a bit lower on its suspension than the standard-issue 545i giving rise to its sporty look. This is just the perfect combination of elegance, power and speed isn’t it?
What are a few of those other BMW attributes that make it different to other luxury vehicles? BMW’s Dynamic Stability Control, a limited-slip differential, Servotronic steering, and an upgraded braking system all come standard. These not only give this ultimate driving machine an upper edge to its rivals, but also makes it one of the safest cars in its class; safer than the Mercedes E-class and Jaguar S-Type. And o yeah, also expect a full complement of upscale interior features and trimmings, with multi-adjustable sports seats as part of the mix.
Samy’s Final Verdict:
The 2005 BMW M5 doesn’t cost almost $100,000 for no reason. M5’s can reiterate they are the ultimate driving machine because they definitely are in every aspect – be it glamour, power or safety. The question to ask is, where does this leave us? Well, I would say start saving for one these machines; it’s worth while the wait – whether you’re a CEO attending a conference meeting or in your dream job 10 years down the road.
