“From High School to College we stand ..still partying

High school was full of experimenting. Many didn’t know what to do with themselves. Some were the nerds, some were the popular ones. Others blended in with every crowd and many cared about what they looked like and
who they were dating. As our parents would give us speeches on how well we need to do in school, all that was going through our minds was probably “what am I going to wear tomorrow” or “who am I going to hang out with?”. These were the mind blowing questions that got to almost every student. There were some ‘odd ones’, as the popular crew would say. The odd ones were those that graduated with honors and received a good academic scholarship to any college of their choice.

Then we went to college. From experience, one thing comes to mind when hearing the word “college”. Party! But why? Haven’t we had enough of failing each class just because our popular friends wanted to skip class and feel “cool”? Haven’t we had enough of making up excuses for why we didn’t do our homework, and telling our teachers that our dog slobbered all over it while we were “working hard” on figuring out that math problem. College is a step
further in our futures. Let’s make the most of it.

Don’t tell me it’s easy because its not. If it’s easy, then maybe you’re just
doing half the work. Haven’t you had enough of wasting your life? Every time you miss a class, that’s about fifty dollars you are just throwing away. It’s not because of some emergency, but because you got drunk last night and needed more sleep to get over your humongous hangover. Let’s stop and think about why we are really here. What do you want out of this? Why are you wasting your money? Why are you wasting your parent’s money when all you’re getting
out of college is alcohol, partying, and
god knows what else. Don’t get me wrong. It’s ok to let loose sometimes but not every day or every other day. You have a life to build. College is giving you a chance to become successful, powerful, and a better person. Educate yourself. Give yourself a chance to grow. Don’t stay in one place. Realize that high school is over and the real world has started as soon as you stepped foot into the registrars office to register for classes. This is your life so what are you going to do with it?
