As Australian Special Forces secure missile bunkers deep in Iraqi territory, UK Ministry of Defense says two British troops are missing in southern Iraq after their vehicles came under attack. This has been the case in terms of prisoners of war, even for The Americans as sources confirmed five American Soldiers missing “… Army officials said Sunday that about 10 soldiers of the 507th Maintenance Company, based at Fort Bliss, Texas, are unaccounted for after an encounter with Iraqi forces during maneuvers with the 3rd Infantry Division in southern Iraq. The Arabic-language Al-Jazeera network broadcast pictures that Iraqi television, which shot the video, said showed five captured U.S. soldiers; the bodies of four more soldiers with gunshot wounds to the head were also shown.” (CNN) Nevertheless, Allies still press on towards the capital. United Kingdom’s Prime Minister Tony Blair refers to it as a crucial moment as he tells his Parliament today. Coalition forces, led by the U.S. Army’s V Corps, have advanced to near Karbala, Iraq, a town about 60 miles south of Baghdad, and could soon encounter the Iraqi Republican Guard’s elite Medina Division.
