No. 22 Women’s Soccer Falls to 15th Ranked New Haven, 1-0

In one of the top matchups of the weekend in Division II women’s soccer, the 22nd-ranked Purple Knights dropped a 1-0 final to No. 15 New Haven on Saturday afternoon in West Haven, Conn. The Chargers got on the board with the game’s only goal in the 67th minute and never relinquished the advantage. UB goalkeeper Thora Rognvaldsdottir faced 24 shots on the afternoon, making 10 saves, including a number of spectacular ones, to keep the Purple Knights within striking distance. UB is now 9-3-0 overall on the season and is back in action when the team travels to NYIT for a mid-week game.
