Women’s Basketball Downs NYIT, 62-44

Led by 18 points from graduate student Krista Ross, the UB women’s basketball team downed NYIT by a 62-44 final on Tuesday evening at the Hubbell Gym. Joining Ross in double figures was senior Crystal Deichert (pictured left) with 11 points and 10 points from junior Desaraya Williams. Williams posted a game-high nine rebounds, while Deichert had a game-high eight assists. UB is now 15-3 overall and 12-3 in the NYCAC. For the game, UB shot 54.9 percent from the field, while they held NYIT to just 27.1 percent. UB also outrebounded the Lady Bears by a 43-21 margin. Emily Bolling was the sole player in double figures for NYIT with 10 points.
