Helpful Tip #1:
Take a moment- Before you even start your grad school search think for a while about what things are most important to you. For instance, do you want to study in Connecticut or move out to California? Do you want to attend a large or small university? Do you need to work while you go to school? Do you need scholarship options? Be sure to talk to family, friends, students who are already in grad school, or your professors/advisors. All of these people can help you decide what you do (or do not) want to do when you leave UB.
