Inspired in Burger King’s idea of a “Left-Handed Whopper”, Sodexho decided to include this item in their menu. The association leading this cause is the No Lefty Right Behind Movement (NLRBM). The members of this group claim being discriminated against for being a subordinated minority. Many left handed students complained about not being able to enjoy the burgers at Marina, because they can’t control their right hand as well as their left hand, which usually results in ketchup and onions all over their clothes. Marina Staff, after meticulously studying lefties’ rights, have agreed to include a left handed burger in their hot line items. This burger will be placed in the left side of Marina, once members of the NLRBM and the Sodexho staff came to an agreement of which side is the left one.
It was also demanded by the students that all the ingredients were rotated 180 degrees. The cooks at Marina will have to ensure that they turn the tomatoes, hamburger patties, cheese, and onions, 180 degrees to guarantee full lefty costumer satisfaction. This is another battle won against discrimination. Let’s all celebrate diversity at UB!
