Finally, students can say that they don’t have to go off campus to go to any McDonalds. It was announced on March 22, that McDonalds is opening in the student center starting next semester.You might ask yourself “Where is McDonalds going to be located in the student center?” Well, the answer to this is that the bowling alley will not reopen.Instead, they are going to reconstruct the bowling alley and make it into McDonalds.
McDonalds’ hours are as followed: open Monday-Thursday and Sunday 8:30 am and –close at 11pm. Friday and Saturday they will open at 10 am and close at 12 am.
Lisa Griffin a sophomore at UB stated, “It is a great idea to have this on campus. Not only will this give students late might snacks after Marina and Knights end closes but it something different.”
Students who have work study will be allowed to work at McDonalds that is on campus said Michelle Croce head of Work Study Program.
You might be wondering what are Sodexho’s views on this. Sodexho is very upset about this situation .They have a contract with the school that says they are the only ones allowed to run a food service on this campus.Sodexho managers want all students to know that they will not be able to use dining dollars or dining points at McDonalds
