CAPE COD, Mass. (November 14, 2005) – University of Bridgeport has been selected the top seed in the 2005 ECAC Division II Women’s Volleyball Championship. The Purple Knights enter the tournament with an overall record of 17-12. The tournament is a four-team field with the semifinal and championship rounds being held at Philadelphia University. The teams selected are members of the NYCAC, CACC, and the Northeast-10.For the first game, the No. 2 seed C.W. Post (20-14) will take on No. 3 seed Franklin Pierce (14-13) on Sunday, November 20 at 11 a.m. In the second semifinal game, No. 1 Bridgeport (18-13) will play the No. 4 seed, Philadelphia University (28-5) on Sunday, November 20 at 1:30 p.m.
