“International Education Week improves the UB campus by promoting internationalism and educating students in cultural awareness. I feel this year was a tremendous success, only brought out by full participation of the clubs, students and faculty.” Obakeng Phiri President of the International Awareness Club.International Education week was hosted by Sodexho, IAC and the International College at Marina Dining hall from Monday Nov 14th to Sunday the 21st. Students were able to meet other cultures by trying international foods, listening to other’s music, learning to speak international languages at language tables, and taking part in the international quiz competitions held during lunch every day of the week. Behind the festivities, lay the labors of many people. The IAC held a Dunkin Donuts donated fundraising drive for the Park Avenue Fire Victims. Professor Yu, brought her class to host their own quiz with a possible prize of a trip to China. The International College hosted several events including a Martial Arts performance, a study abroad outreach, and a movie presentation.
