Women’s Soccer Ranked 14th Nationally

Bridgeport, Conn. — The UB women’s soccer team continues to climb closer to the national top-10 as the team is ranked 14th in the nation in this week’s NSCAA/adidas Division II National Poll. The Purple Knights, also ranked second in the Northeast Region, are up one spot from a week ago. At 6-1-0, the Purple Knights are off to the best start in the program’s history. The team looks to continue that stretch on Saturday as UB hosts Dowling at Noon in Seaside Park, the first-ever meeting between the two squads. In addition to the team’s success, freshman forward Therese Peterson was named as the NYCAC Rookie of the Week for her play during the week ending September 18th. She is currently second on the team with three goals and has been a constant scoring threat up top for the Purple Knights this season.
