The UB softball team evened its record at 5-5 overall with an 11-8 win over Bloomfield in non-conference play on Tuesday afternoon. Sarah Mantor (pictured left), in her first season with the Purple Knights, highlighted an 11-run offensive outburst by UB with a grand slam to lead the attack. UB, which has been plagued by a number of rainouts due to bad weather, is scheduled to host American International in a doubleheader on Friday, beginning at 2 p.m. Please check back frequently for the latest on the UB athletic spring schedules!
