Allen Earns All-American, All-District Honors

Senior center Ramel Allen (pictured left) was named as a Daktronics Third Team All-American, making him the first UB player to receive the honor since Lamont Jones in 1995. The National Association of Basketball Coaches also honored Allen with a spot on the Northeast Region All-District Second Team. The national leader in rebounding and blocked shots, Allen averaged 13.9 points, 14.1 rebounds and 4.9 blocked shots as he helped the team to the ECAC Division II Championship. He was also a First Team NYCAC All-Conference player and a First Team All-Region performer.
