UB Shuttle

Are you bored? Don’t have a car? Don’t you just need to get out of the dorm? Well don’t you worry! UB has brought back the SHUTTLE! Yes, the shuttle is back! Last Friday, the shuttle ran through town, from 6-12p.m. It ran every half hour, picking up students from Park Ave. by the clock, to Trumbull Mall, the movie theaters, Stop and Shop and the Train Station. With the shuttle, students will be able to travel through Bridgeport, to see beyond the university.
It is very hard to go to these places in Bridgeport without a vehicle. Everything is a bit far, and waiting for the bus just to get to that specific place can be a bit of a hassle as well. It is hard to get an escape from reality when certain resources are not there. A new movie may come out that you are dying to see. There may have been a huge holiday sale at the mall or you just have to shop! What if there was a major party in the city that you just heard about and don’t want to miss? The shuttle can take you to these places if you ever need it.
The shuttle gives the opportunity to shop, not just for fun, but for the times you actually need something, such as food! Food is very important if you are stuck in the middle of a snow storm and Marina is closed. Let’s face it, we just can’t survive on Chinese food. Food is also important to have stocked up just incase you missed a meal and both Knight’s End Caf and Marina Dining Hall is closed. By going to Stop and Shop, we can stock up on food!
As much as we love to study, and work really hard to get that A, there are times when we just need to get out! A little bit a freedom I would say. Take your mind off of tests and go to the movie theater. Spend money on miscellaneous things instead of hundreds of dollars on books. I suggest to all students, who don’t have a car and need fresh air to breathe, take advantage of it. This is made just for you! The shuttle is free and you don’t have to worry about gas! TAKE A BREAK! You need it.
