The Wonderful Look of Spring 2005
In the Oxford Dictionary, the word feminine is defined as having qualities traditionally associated with women, especially delicacy and prettiness. The word feminine should be stuck in the heads women this spring season. Spring is my favorite season of all. This is the season of warm and happy colors. Judging by what high fashion editors are writing in their editorials, the trend for woman in Spring 2005 is feminine, classy and sexy at the same time. If you have no clue in what look would be feminine, classy, and sexy, look to the great and legendary Audrey Hepburn for inspiration. Now I know that we are college students and cannot afford the wonderful Spring 2005 collections of Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera but we as college students know how to utilize what we have and make it work for us. Well did you know that we can do the same thing with our wardrobe? This season is about bringing out your inner prettiness. To help bring this about on your budget, tear out some of the images that you want to portray and take them with you when you go shopping at more suitable for the college student budget.
Now guys, I don’t want you to think that I have left you out. The two words for guys this season are clean and classic. Designers like Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, and Sean Jean literally hit the nail on the head, as they say. What guys should remember this season is that color is your friend. Colors such as green, yellow, and blue are essential for spring 2005.
Well now that you guys know what’s up for the spring season, let me tell you a little bit about what the Fashion Merchandising department here at the University is up to. Last Semester Professor Albert took some of her wonderful fashion students to New York City and they visited the showrooms of Tommy
Hilfiger, Theory, and Eileen Fisher. The students were able to receive a handful of information about the business and design aspects of the fashion industry. This spring semester, we can expect wonderful things from the Fashion Merchandising department. Make sure that you guys check out the bi-annual fashion show, which will be held on April 7, 2005. And may I also take this moment to welcome back my fellow fashionistas back from their internships.
