Women’s Soccer Earns Fourth Consecutive NSCAA Academic Award

For the fourth consecutive season, the UB women’s soccer team has
received the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)
Team Academic Award. The UB team finished the 2003-2004 season with an
overall grade point average of 3.33 in earning the award.
“I am proud of our program for receiving this academic award for the
fourth consecutive year,” said sixth-year head coach Magnus Nilerud.
“In addition to the success we have had on the field, it is satisfying as a coach to also have success in the classroom.”
Under Nilerud, the Purple Knights captured their first-ever ECAC
Division II Championship and set a single-season record for victories with 14. The Purple Knights placed four players on the NYCAC All-Conference Teams and three players earned NSCAA All-Region recognition.
