The UB School of Engineering was ranked fourth in the nation for the number of awarded Master of Science degrees in Computer Science. That ranking came in a comparison study of 103 Engineering schools nationwide, included in the American Society of Engineering Education
(ASEE) annual profiles for the 2002-2003 academic year.With 200 graduate students from the M.S. Computer Science program, UB ranked fourth – between Johns Hopkins University and the University of Texas, Arlington – in the number of M.S. degrees awarded in Computer Science from an engineering school. Other schools in the top 5
rankings include the University of Texas, Dallas, and the University of Southern California.
The number of Computer Science women graduates at UB was also recognized. UB’s engineering school ranked second nationwide in the number of female graduates in Computer Science. Last year UB’s School of Engineering graduated 79 women from its Master of Science program in Computer Science.
