Sigma Spa

We all knew when midterm week hit because the stress level at UB was immediately higher. People were getting sick and, for the most part ,everyone was in a bad mood. In the middle of all the chaos Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated held their second Sigma Spa on October 19th. For a $3.00 cover men and women received tips on how to pamper themselves, hand massages, manicures, eyebrow reshaping, and most of all a relaxed environment. Not only was the atmosphere calm but also it was sophisticated.
The event was modeled as a Wine & Cheese with smooth R&B playing in the background. A representative from Warm Spirits Incorporated allowed participants to try out the company’s products as well as order products for themselves and their loved ones. “I enjoyed this event, for a second I forgot about all the stressful things around me,” said Kandyce Watson.
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority has been on the University of Bridgeport campus for two years, members Latoya Skerrette, Nicole McDonald, and Simone Waugh are doing as much as possible to be a positive force on this campus as well as in the Bridgeport community.
