Senior outside hitter Jessica Herrman (Salina, KS) was honored as the NYCAC Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week for her play during the week ending September 19th.
The Purple Knights are off to a 6-1 start and lead the NYCAC standings with a 2-0 conference record. In conference victories over Adelphi and Philadelphia last week, Herrman continued her solid season. On the road at Adelphi, Herrman posted 23 kills in the four-set win. She followed that by a 15-kill game in UB’s 3-1 home win over Philadelphia. Defensively, Herrman added 21 digs and seven blocks (four solo) in eight games.
The team is back in action on Tuesday, September 21st when they travel to C.W. Post for a NYCAC match beginning at 7 p.m.
