In honor of the Sickle Cell Awareness Month there will be two Press conferences in our caption area for clients. September 7, 2004, Mayor Alex Knopp will host for the Southern Regional Sickle Cell Association a Press conference at the Norwalk City Hall, 2nd floor, 10:30 am, 125 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06856. The second Press conference will be September 13, 2004 and will be hosted by Marian A. Evans, MD , the City of Bridgeport’s New Health Director,11:30 am at the Health Department, 752 East Main Street, Bridgeport, CT 06608. After the Bridgeport Press conference there will be a Sickle Cell Awareness And Screening Day opened to the Public. Individuals of child bearing age need to know if they have the genetic for sickle cell trait.
