UB Women’s Gymnastics go to Nationals

Nationals were held in Texas on April 7-10th. Stephanie Pink went for bars and vault, Joell Koller for bars, Korrine Powelski and Kate Warner for all-around. Stephanie Pink was the only gymnast to go to the finals and she took 7th place in the vault. Stephanie felt that it was “tough without Loraine. We had to pull together more, seniors had to stick together and try to be leaders. Performance wise, we didn’t do as well as last year. It meant a lot more to realize we were able to stick together and would get through it without Loraine.”The UB women’s gymnastics team took second place in the ECAC tournament that was hosted by the University of Bridgeport at the Wheeler Recreation Center on Saturday, March 20th.
