I earned a dual degree in jazz studies and East Asian studies. I also have my master's degree in jazz trumpet from Julliard, which I completed recently. The best part of being a tutor is seeing my students make a breakthrough and finally understand a concept that they once thought was impossible to learn. I have found that these breakthroughs happen when students are challenged and engaged by the material. I know that every student doesn't enjoy every subject, but I know that when they are able to approach the material from the right angle, it becomes fun and exciting. Learning can be a very satisfying thing when you learn to do so correctly and begin to enjoy it.
