I earned my undergraduate degree in business finance from the University of Oregon and my graduate degree in urban education from the University of Pennsylvania. During the former I tutored all levels of math offered by the University of Oregon and for economics, business, and Spanish courses. I currently teach algebra I and geometry as a high school math and special education teacher in Manhattan. Previously I've taught middle school math and pre-algebra. My strengths as a tutor include learning each student's strengths and weaknesses and tailoring each session to each student's individualized needs. I will help students fix their mistakes and recognize their own errors, but only after allowing them the space to attempt problems on their own first....
