I began tutoring high school students as an undergraduate. Upon graduation I began working as a mentor and tutor as part of the AmeriCorps program with students in the Los Angeles area. I then went on to earn my graduate degree in education and am now pursuing a doctorate from Columbia University in international development and urban planning.

Working with students made it clear to me just how important personalized lesson plans are to the success of both gifted and struggling students. I believe in learning about my students as individuals so I can craft the best learning program for their academic needs.
