From a very young age, Q was considered a self proclaimed fitness enthusiast. She attended the University of Rhode Island on full athletic scholarship for the women's basketball team, Division 1. It was during her college career that her interest in fitness grew exponentially. Q had been instrumental in her community of Washington, DC while in college, having gone back to her roots at a local boys and girls club to coach the youth basketball teams.
