I received my graduate degree in English Education from Teachers College, Columbia University and started teaching for the New York City alternative schools. A few years later, I moved to Minnesota, where I taught in workplace settings such as the Mayo Clinic, where I worked with visiting clinicians. While in Minnesota, I also tutored ESL at the Many Rivers Juvenile Detention Center, so my experience with students is wide and varied.
