A global leading manufacturer of a diverse line of engineered components for fastening and joining. Our Human Resources Team supports the Connecticut Headquarters by providing a high level of service to both our internal and external customers.

WHO YOU ARE:

A driven, organized and hardworking individual pursuing a degree in Business or Human Resources, or possessing a strong interest in the field! This is a developmental internship with the opportunity for full time employment as a Human Resources Administrator for SPIROL Connecticut.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

As the Human Resources Intern, you will be providing critical support for the department by actively engaging in a number of activities and responsibilities including:

  • Assisting with the recruiting process for SPIROL:
  • Taking a proactive approach to recruiting high quality candidates, and tracking them within ApplicantPRO software. You will be expected to perform all necessary functions within that software.
  • Coordinating and scheduling pre-employment testing and interviews for applicants.
  • Scheduling pre-employment physicals, background checks, drug screens and conducting reference checks on applicable candidates.
  • Working with recruiters to hire for specific roles.
  • Preparing offer letters.
  • Providing front desk coverage for the Human Resource office, and carrying out the required duties:
  • Greeting employees and answering any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Processing forms or paperwork that is dropped off.
  • Greeting and assisting vendors or other guests.
  • Any other additional tasks as necessary.
  • Providing telephone coverage for all HR extension lines, or in the absence of an HR team member.
  • Maintaining proper documentation and filing of employee personnel files.
  • Working collaboratively with the HR Manager on a number of strategic and growth-related projects!
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned in support of the department.

  • A strong drive and initiative to achieve goals and complete tasks. Interest in areas of additional responsibility is a distinct advantage.
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to build relationships with many different personalities.
  • Great organization skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A keen attention to detail.
  • Great reliability and accountability. You will receive the same from our team!
  • YOUR CAREER TIMELINE:

    We are looking for someone who is able to work with us full time during the summer months, and part time during the rest of the year. With the right candidate, this internship will evolve into a full-time position starting in May of 2022. Throughout this internship, your management team will remain committed to providing you the skills and experience you need to succeed in a role in Human Resources at SPIROL.
