Position Summary:

  • Responsible for the sale of service aftermarket products for advanced light and/or electron microscopy systems.
  • Must be extremely professional and need to be able to thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • This position requires excellent communication/selling skills, critical thinking and organizational skills while maintaining high levels of customer service.
  • Must project a professional company image through customer phone, e-mail and personal interaction.
  • Possess the desire to grow within the organization to sales, application support or service.

Key Metrics of the Position: (e.g. Position Reporting, Revenue, Budget, etc.)

  • Generate bookings according to yearly quota based upon budget
  • Lead to sale closure rates
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Business Development/Marketing to develop focused sales initiatives of aftermarket products
  • Work with factory and vendors to ensure aftermarket compatibility with current installed base
  • Proactively create sales opportunities by email and phone
  • Provide quotations to customers and follow-up through closure of the opportunity
  • Generate quotations from leads submitted by sales and service field personnel
  • Maintain sales funnel analytics via CRM
  • Participate in training classes/self-educate to understand instrument functionality and configurations
  • Work with management for special price concessions that may be needed from vendors (including factory and 3rd party)

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated and highly productive
  • Minimum of two years sales experience
  • Microscopy experience and/or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration - Preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of computers - windows experience preferred
  • SAP Experience a plus
